A simpler way to find your coach
At Rec, we're constantly striving to make it easier for you to be active, connect with your community, and explore new hobbies. And let's face it – learning a new sport is way harder than it needs to be in this day and age. That's why we're thrilled to announce our brand-new private lesson functionality which will revolutionize the private coaching experience for students, instructors, and facility managers.
What is it?
Private Lessons on Rec are a game-changer, designed to connect players with the coaches who can help them achieve their objectives. We take out the hassle of finding a coach, coordinating a location, booking a court, and paying for the class.
How Does It Work?
Find Your Ideal Coach: You can now easily find coaches who match your specific goals and objectives. If you don't have a specific court preference, choose your region at rec.us and look under "Get coaching" to see who teaches in your area. Alternatively, head to your local community page, and click the "Learning Hub" tab. If you can only meet at a specific location - no problem! Check out that location's page for the selection of private coaches who teach there.
Coordinate Seamlessly: Coordinating with your chosen instructor has never been more straightforward. On Rec, you can communicate directly with your coach to discuss lesson details and availability. Often times, coaches will have Instant Book slots which are hours they can commit to – and you can sign up for – immediately. Otherwise, you can send them a lesson request to discuss what you're looking for and what timing works best.
Book Your Lesson: Once you've found the perfect coach and fine-tuned the lesson details, your coach will send you a link to confirm and pay for the class. Rec handles the court booking behind-the-scenes, so there's no more location hassle or headache – it's all in one place, like it should be.

Making it easier for coaches and players to connect is an essential step in fulfilling this commitment.
